About me

Sara Andersson
Search Integration Strategist, Europe

I have an international marketing degree and have worked with search engine marketing since 1999. I was the founder of the first search engine marketing department of the Outrider group in Sweden and was one of the pioneers in the market. Today, I have the honor to work as an independent strategic search consultant in my own firm Search Integration Sweden AB managing both Nordic and European clients with high complexity. Assignments involve high level strategic search consultancy for Enterprise clients like Samsung and IBM under Global Strategies as well as integrated search marketing work and education programs for smaller clients. My main focus is to help my clients understand search and how to integrate this in their overall marketing plan and how to measure success.

As a regular speaker at various conferences in the field of search engine marketing in Europe, like Search Engine Strategies & Search marketing Expo I get to meet a lot of interesting people and see many nice places.  I am fortunate to work in a fast moving and world wide business like search.

I am also a blogger at Multilingual-search.com and a chair of the SEMPO Scandinavia working group.

When I am not working on anything search related I am out walking my border collie, Figo by the Stockholm sea :-)

    Hi Sara,

i am launching a search campaign for a client in europe and an interesting question was asked to me: do online shoppers in northern europe shop online in the UK since of its proximity? Is there any data available for this?
    thanks for your help!

    Hi Mike,

Online shoppers tend to shop mostly in their own country mostly cause of quicker and more cheap deliveries, however there are interresting exceptions and these are mostly related to the fact that you cant find some products or services in some countries.
These examples can be involve certain books not available in the nordics book stores and then maybe amazon.co.uk or .com will receive thoose orders.

I am myself a fond of Starbucks and to my disappointment they dont exist in Sweden (!) hence if I need Starbucks cups I have to eaither buy them on any of my many trips or go online.

If you can specify more of products or sector you are wondering about i can try to give you better examples.

    Best
    Sara
